The Treasure Hunt – A Pontoon Boat Scavenger Hunt
The TREASURE HUNT is a creative Team Building Activity offering excitement and esprit-de-corps in a challenging “on the water” exercise on Lake Lanier near Atlanta.
This recreational boating event combines a “Pirate” theme with a traditional Scavenger Hunt for additional fun! We utilize the fleet of safe, comfortable pontoon boats from Aqualand Marina and/or Port Royale and assign “crew” of 8 participants per boat/team.
The TREASURE HUNT begins with Orientation where rules and objectives are explained. Each team receives a Resource Kit containing a lake chart, compass, crew positions and Rules of the Road. Dockside, crew positions are assigned and team members are checked out on the boat.
Then the team building adventure begins!
“The Treasure Map” is received and the teams are now in command of their own boats as they set out to accumulate “pirate booty”. Tacticians decide on destinations while Navigators set the course using lake chart and compass. Helmsman steers the course, Captain insures team consensus and Foredeck Officers maintain lookout. All team members work together to retrieve the Pirate Gear and earn points while visiting deserted islands and beautiful secluded beaches on Lake Lanier!
As the Teams arrive at the finish, points are tallied based on the amount of Pirate Gear accumulated. Accomplishment Awards are given out based on points accumulated including the captains award for Best Pirates and Gilligan’s Award for the team that “were just glad they made it back”!
This team building exercise is available for groups of 16 to 80 participants in a half day format (4 hours). Georgia’s Lake Lanier is located convenient to Atlanta. Corporate meeting facilities, lakeside restaurants and near-by hotel accommodations are available if needed.
